Deep Sea Fishing
The Sea of Cortez (Gulf of California) is
among the most bountiful seas in the world.
Fishing is a large commercial industry in Rocky Point but it
is also a huge sportfishing industry.
The bountiful waters of the Sea of Cortez yield many tasty
varieties of seafood. Some of the offerings are:

The Mexican Government has recognized the
value of this resource in the northern Sea of Cortez and
established an area prohibited to commercial fishing. The area is
defined by a line from Rocky Point to San Felipe on the Baja. No
commercial Fishing is allowed north of this line.
